​2-Year Old Class (18 months to 2 years)

 

Our nurturing environment provides the structure that allows the children to grow and learn while feeling safe and comfortable. Our kids are given daily opportunities to explore and learn through age appropriate toys and projects. Children in the this classroom are encouraged to try to use their words to express their needs and wants. The activities in the classroom are developed to create learning experiences and social experiences through play, projects, and activities.

3-Year Old Class

 

A child’s feeling of independence and social interaction with others is what this class is about. This class revolves around the children learning to help themselves and getting along with others. Children are encouraged to make choices for themselves, get along and play well with others as well as to listen and follow directions. The teacher leads the children in group activities, such as movement, story time, circle time and crafts. The children are encouraged to make friends, share and communicate with th children in their class.To prepare them for the next class up (4 year old class), they will work on their hand writing skills, colors, shapes and numbers as well as other things. This  gives each teacher the opportunity to work one-on-one with each student.

 

4 Year Old Class

 

This class is to readily prepare the children for kindergarden. They  will rotate to a variety of learning centers which offer items to help stimulate young imaginative minds. Literacy is introduced with the letter of the week, creative writing and circle time readings.Calendar time introduces them to the days of the week and the months of the year. Patterns, graphing, simple math and science activities are included as well as music,movement,and playground time.Fine motor skills are used daily .Preparing their young minds for kindergarten is the primary goal of the teachers as they encourage verbal skills, teach self-help skills and promote self assurance.
